Grilled Calamari/Squid/Prawns

Garlic & Herb Jamaican Jerk Main Dishes Savory Chipotle Seafood Thai Curry

Flavor Recommendations: Garlic & Herb, Savory Chipotle, Jamaican Jerk, Thai Curry F.I.T. BrineTM Flavor

INGREDIENTS (3-4 servings):

  • 2-3 pounds of calamari, squid, and/or prawns/shrimp
  • 2oz (approximately 1/3 cup) F.I.T. BrineTM
  • 2 cups of water

DIRECTIONS:

  • Clean the calamari, squid, and/or prawns/shrimp. If using prawns/shrimp, remove the shells
  • ~Optional~ Cut the calamari and squid into bite size pieces and thread onto a bamboo skewer. Skewers can also be used for the prawns/shrimp
  • Place the calamari, squid, and/or prawns/shrimp in a Ziplock (sealable) bag
  • Add 2oz of F.I.T. BrineTM  and 2 cups of water
  • Seal the bag and shake till spices and water are mixed. (~Note~ attempt to remove air before sealing). Store in the fridge
  • Allow seafood to brine for about 2-3 hours
  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat
  • Grill the calamari, squid, and/or prawns/shrimp for about 3-4 minutes on each side till nicely charred
  • Remove calamari, squid, and/or shrimp from the grill and serve with recommended side dishes (Found in the Vegetables & Sides Section)
