Grilled Cedar Plank Salmon

Garlic & Herb Lemon Pepper Main Dishes Savory Chipotle Seafood Sweet & Spicy

Flavor Recommendations: Garlic & Herb, Lemon Pepper, Savory Chipotle, Sweet & Spicy F.I.T. BrineTM Flavor

INGREDIENTS (3-4 servings):

  • Salmon fillet
  • 1oz (approximately half of 1/3 cup) F.I.T. BrineTM for every 1.5 lbs of salmon
  • Water
  • Cedar plank

DIRECTIONS:

~3-4 hours before you plan to eat~

  • Wash and remove skin from salmon fillet along with any remaining bones
  • Place the salmon in a Ziplock (sealable) bag
  • Add 1oz of F.I.T. BrineTM for every 1.5 lbs of salmon
  • Add 1 cup of water for every 1.5 lbs of salmon
  • Seal the bag and shake till spices and water are mixed. (~Note~ attempt to remove air before sealing). Store the salmon in the fridge
  • Immerse cedar plank in water for and soak 3-4 hours

~Cooking~

  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat
  • Take salmon fillet out of the Ziplock bag and lay on cedar plank (~Optional~ For added flavor strain the brine and top the salmon with the spice/herb mixture)
  • Put the cedar plank/salmon fillet on the grill and grill for 15-20 minutes till salmon is just cooked through
  • Remove cedar plank/salmon from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes.
  • Carve and serve straight from the cedar plank with recommended side dishes (Found in the Vegetables & Sides Section)
